The Southern Maryland Carousel Group is working to construct a full scale working carousel in Southern Maryland. The facility will house a carousel, woodcarving museum and a woodcarving learning center for youth and adults.
The Southern Maryland Carousel Group meets at the Davis Building located at
313 Charles Street,
La Plata, MD 20646. The shop is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9AM to 2:30PM.
The woodcarvers are always looking for volunteers. Stop in one day and visit. You never know, you could become one of Southern Maryland's finest woodcarvers.
